This page explains how content on Tips-Tricks.net is produced, checked, corrected, and paid for. It applies to every guide published here.

Who writes the guides

Tips-Tricks.net is produced by a small editorial team based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Guides are researched and edited by the team; individual bylines are used where a contributor is answerable for a specific article.

Research standards

Instructions are sourced from primary documentation: manufacturer support pages, official operating-system help, standards documents, and government consumer guidance. Menu paths, model numbers, specifications, and prices are checked against those sources at the time of writing, and the country and currency are stated whenever a cost is quoted.

We distinguish between three kinds of claim, and a guide should make clear which one it is making: a documented fact with a source, a calculation the reader can repeat from the numbers shown, and a recommendation based on judgement. Where we have not handled a specific piece of hardware ourselves, the guide says so and credits the documentation the steps came from. We do not describe imagined hands-on testing.

Drafting tools and human review

Drafting is sometimes assisted by software, including language models, to speed up structuring and first-pass writing. Every published article is reviewed against source documentation and edited by a person before it goes live, and the facts, figures, and links are checked in that review. Automated drafting does not decide what gets published, and it is never published unedited.

Updates and corrections

Guides are reviewed periodically and whenever a reader reports a problem. Corrections are made in the body of the article and the page’s updated date changes; we do not leave known-wrong instructions in place with a note underneath. If a guide is superseded by a genuinely better article on the same topic, the older one is retired and redirected rather than left to compete with it — the site deliberately holds one page per topic.

To report an error, use the details on the contact page, including the article URL.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site is funded by advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links. Advertising is served by third parties and is not selected by this site; it never appears inside the body of a guide as though it were editorial. Affiliate links, where present, are disclosed, and they never determine which product a guide recommends — the recommendation is written first, and a link is added only if it happens to exist.

We do not accept payment for a positive review, do not publish sponsored posts presented as independent guides, and do not remove or soften criticism of a product in exchange for anything.

Privacy

What is collected and why is described in the privacy policy. In short: aggregate analytics, no sale of reader data, and no requirement to create an account to read anything on this site.
